Computer assisted writing

Dear viewers,

Today’s topic is Computer Assisted Writing. Years ago, before computer have created, students used type writer to do their writing. At that time, it is an easy way to do their work with type writer than to write on their own. But nowadays, there is one tool that can help them more than type writer do. It is computer.

Computer not only can help students to do the writing work faster but also helps to improve student's skills in writing and grammar. Work processor is one of the tools or program that we can found in a computer which can helps student to improve their writing skills. Most students can experience success in writing through the use of a word processor (Bright, 1990). Word processing allows rapid alteration and manipulation of the text, helping writers sustain the mental images they are trying to capture while experimenting with language (Newman, 1984). According to Marjorie Simic, the word processor was designed for revising and manipulating language. For inexperienced writers (who tend to make corrections at the word level), proofreading is easier on the computer.

As for me, I found work processors are so benefiting because we can do anything with it such as free writing, brainstorming, and organizing. We can check our writing work for some errors in spelling and grammatical mistake, also can feel free to take risks in our writing because we know that we can edit it anytime.
